Goin' Fishing

Today was a fishing day. One of Connor's favorite thing to do is go fishing! This is shortly after he got back from a fishing trip with Terry, Tim, Matt and G. Berning. Emma is the "BIG Fish" fisherman on the boat and the other kids are the fish! Emma's pole is made from a swimming noodle, elastic band and a bright yellow wiffle ball as the bobber. Good thing she as a strong "line" because those bigger fish can really put up a fight!!

Push- ups

One of the many favorite things about going to Grandma and Grandpa Berning's house is having an ice- cream treat!!  Here are Tessa, Willa and Truman enjoying a push-up!!

"Annie"

Emma, Josie, Max, Elly, and Madeline (good friend of Elly's) had the opportunity to be in the "Annie" play this summer at Five Flags. They all had a blast and we are still singing all the songs at home!!

Popcorn and a Movie

One of the last days of summer vacation, we decided to have a movie night since it was rather cool out and a good chance of ran! Some cousins came over to join in the fun! First the night started outside with the girls and some boys playing school with Emma as the teacher. That led into the girls then doing different dance routines and the boys into a hockey game with Connor. Finally, it was time to get ready for the movie and eat some popcorn!! It was a fun filled night!

Butchering Chickens

Connor was SOOO excited for this day to come! His favorite part was pulling out the "guts"! Before school got back into session, Grandpa Berning had planned a day to butcher chickens. Most of the grandkids were there to help, but some preferred to watch from the sidelines! It was quite the set up this year! All eight chickens got butchered and cut up! The kids are glad we don't need to do this everytime we want chicken to eat!!! Thanks for the great day Grandma and Grandpa!

Adventure

Our kids love to play Adventure! This time they broke into teams of two (Connor and Emma; Josie and Karley.. Tessa was neutral). They each made maps to follow and then they had to go outside to find the stuff animals I hid for their team. Connor some how snuck out of all the pictures??!!

Girls at Play

The girls play so well together! I love just watching and listening to what they come up with next. This night Anna and I were rocking outside while the girls were riding scooters and tricycles! There was a lot of laughter and giggles!
