Josie's 6th Birthday!!

On June 8th, Josie turned 6 years old!! She was so excited about her birthday. She had a calendar to mark the days down and almost every day would ask how many days until my birthday!! Sort of sounds like her mom!!

Her day finally came and she had her menu planned out: Breakfast: pancakes that look like 6's with six chocolate chips on them, Lunch: Chicken Noodle Soup and Supper: Cheesy Vegetable soup!! Nothing like having soup on a hot and humid day!! She got was she asked for and enjoyed every bite!

She received a swimsuit and a ladybug pillow pet! She has been asking for pillow pet for sometime!

Here are some other things we did that day: received lots of phone calls, play and ate lunch at Tim's house, watched a movie with Mom and Karley, went to Connor's baseball game and ended it with going to Dairy Queen for ice cream with Grandma and Grandpa Berning and Matt, Natalie, Willa and Aloyisus. Josie said she had a great day! She was also looking forward to the June Birthday Party on June 17 because she knew she would get a couple more presents and a cake!!

Little Eagles Track Meet

The last couple of years Wahlert has hosted a Little Kids Track Meet in early June. My kids participated in it last year and really enjoyed it and so they were looking forward to the next one. Connor was bummed that he couldn't participate because he had a baseball game. My brother, Tim, is the girls head track coach at Wahlert so organizes it. We also had his two kids were with us that morning as we headed up to the track!

The race is off for Emma and Josie. The both participated in the 50 yard dash, 100 yard dash and 200 yard dash. In the 200, they ran against each other because they were the only ones in their age group!

After the race, EVERYONE was excited about the ribbons that they received!!

Emma received one blue (1st place) and two reds (2nd place) ribbons.

Josie received 3 red ribbons.

Everyone else received a white ribbon!!

It was a great day for a track meet! Everyone had lots of fun!

May Birthdays

Here is a picture of the May birthdays: Max (10), Connor (10), Terry (38) and Willa (2). Last year on Willa's birthday most of the grand kids and me had a sleep in tents over at Matt and Natalie's. So the tradition continued this year; due to the weather the sleep over was held in their basement and this year without me! The cakes for the camp-out included smores, camp- out scene and kids having a sleepover!! The kids now look forward to Willa's birthday at the end of May and either camping out or sleeping over!

We can FLY..We can Fly...We can FLY!!!!!

Emma and Wilson can FLY!! They have been practicing jumping off this rock wall at the farm since Emma has been in kindergarten and Wilson has been in preschool, so for about 2 years now. This particular day I was able to watch them practice. They said they have made progress since trying to fly 2 years ago. They measure it were they land; so my theory is that they are flying further is because they are growing and when they land they are able to reach further!! Who knows some day we may see them flying around the farm?!
