A visit from Father Alan

A while ago Connor and Emma created a Wii- character for Father Alan. Since then, the kids have been asking when is he coming over to play with us. Well their wish came true the other night! Around 8 pm, Josie told me someone was here and at the door was Father Alan. He was in the area so decided to stop for a visit! After talking for awhile, the kids took him downstairs to play the Wii. They all got to pick a game to play with him. The favorite one was Just Dance 4. Everyone got a good work out in that night!

Birthday Boys

On May 17, Connor turned 12 and Terry turned 40!! It was a great day to celebrate the birthdays! Connor was excited to receive his Black Hawk jeresy and decorated cake! We invited some family and friends over to help with the celebration!

Ballet Performance

The girls really enjoyed taking ballet lessons this past school year. They would come home and practice. Fianlly the day came where they had the opportunity to show what they have been working on to an audience and they could invite anyone to come and see them. They were excited to invite their family!! Josie's First Communion

On May 5, Josie celebrated her First Communion. She was very excited! Since that day, she has kept track how often she as received the Eucharist. As of today, she has received communion six times!! After mass, we had a gathering at our house and she was very excited to have her family there and then to have Father Alan and Father Thoman stop by! Below are some highlights in reverse order!

"Willy Wonka Junior"

Here are a couple of pictures from Connor's performance of "Willy Wonka Jr." This was a Mazzuchelli Middle school play that Connor particpated in. He made a very cute blue squirrel; his other parts were chorus for "Cooks" and " I've seen it all on TV." He enjoyed his experience!

April Dinner with G and G Berning

April was out turn to host G and G Berning's monthly dinner. This time we ordered pizza from Watershed and had salad and fruit and finished it off with brownies and ice cream. Before dinner, the kids played Red Light, Green Light with Grandpa. The picture below Connor is calling the colors. Tessa was in and out of the game. The favorite game of the night was Josie's idea of everyone drawing a picture. So we all sat around the table and Grandma would tell us what we had to draw. Then she would judge us. We ended up drawing about six different pictures! I didn't know Grandpa could draw so well. Some of the categories were: decorate your name, draw animal scene, draw a scene, etc. I was fun to see everyone's imagination at work!

Lemonade Stand

One Spring aftenoon, the girls decided to have a Lemonade stand. Josie and Karley made the lemonade and Emma and Connor made homemade cupcakes. They made a couple of dollars thanks to some friendly neighbors!

King and Queen

I know it is a little hard to see because I took these pictures from above. Below we you John as a cat next to the pole and Tessa kicking a ball around. Below is Karley (King), Emma (Queen) and Brielle (Queen) and Josie (King) dancing around the yard. They played this for quite some time.

Hair Stylist

Stacy has always been my hairstylist, but Josie is starting to remind me of Stacy when she was younger using me as her "model" to do hair!

Red Sox

It's that time of year again.... Baseball season! He is Connor is action. He really likes to play first base when he gets the chance.
