Girls

Just a picture of Josie, Emma and Karley

Goat

This spring Grandpa Berning surprised the grandkids with a new animal on the farm! A Goat! It is a very friendly goat that doesn't make a lot of noise! Emma enjoyed walking it around the other day on the farm!

KANNDO KRUSCHERS

Emma is in her 3rd year of softball this year and is really enjoying it! This year is a little different because it is kid-pitch so the balls are coming in a little faster! The first game she said she was a little nervous and excited. It's fun to see how much she improved even since last year. She has been practicing more at home with Connor and Terry and her competitive spirit is starting to shine through more and more!

M is for MOM

I had a very nice Mother's Day starting off with breakfast in bed from the kids, cards and lots of hugs and kisses. After Church, the day got a little busier and people went different places, but not Josie. She wanted to hang with her mom that day. We had a great time while Tessa was taking a nap. We read books and  played games. Then she said, "Oh, I need to make something for you, Stay here." When was called to the kitchen, there she had ready a banana split sundae! (Note: She is making a M with her fingers!) Thanks to may family for a wonderful day!

Never to Old

The night of the birthday gathering, one of the balls went into the gutter out our neighbors house. Good thing we have a tall ladder so we didn't have to bother the neighbors. Guess who saved the night? My dad! Though there were plenty of other young men there, he took the adventure and retrieved the ball.

Birthday Boys

May 17, Terry and Connor celebrated their 39th and 11th birthday! Where does time go?? They had a great day and the following night we had some cake and ice cream with the family. Connor had a game the night of his birthday and Terry had a client gathering, so Connor's spot for supper was Subway!

The following night with family Connor received another hockey net. He was very excited since he already has one. Now that it is nice out, the nets go outside for hockey, lacrosse, soccer, handball or whatever!

One of a Kind

Josie doing a workout with her hand band on and my running shoes. With Josie, you never know how she is going to be dressed or what she is up to next! She brings much laughter to our family!

Bike Ride

Tessa was all excited about her bike ride the other night. We went on a family bike ride/ run up to Wahlert the other night! Terry, Tessa, Emma and Connor rode bikes while Josie, Karley and I run. Then we ended up on the track just having some fun!

Body Crayons

The kids really like playing with some body crayons that we have. You never know how they will be decked out! If they can't find the crayons, then they use the washable markers!

BIG Eyes

The kids LOVE it when Tessa makes her BIG eye expression!
She started this one on her own!

My Little Inn

The girls have created their own little Inn on the side of our garage. Below are the beginning stages of how it got started...
Josie walking the mile to her Inn.
                       Emma is the cleaning lady.
The Welcome mat.. Please take off your  shoes!

If you look closely on the brick, on top their is a self- portrait of Josie, and under it is a fireplace.  Later a phone got added off to the side. Also their is a door to the garage close by so they use that to enter and exit the Inn. (Note: That door has gotten more use in the last month than it has in the 13 years that we have owned the house!) All in All this little space off the side of the garage has made a great play area for everyone!

Toss the Ball

A friendly family game of tossing the ball back and forth from Dad to one of the kids!

Garage Picnic

The kids LOVE to have picnics even if it is in the garage! I love it when they all sit around with each other and talk. We do need to get a chair for Tessa so she doesn't have to sit on the floor, though she doesn't mind because usually she is up roaming around and tries to get into their conversation!

Matching Dresses

Besides having homemade girl dresses, they now have homemade matching doll dresses made by their Grandma Berning! This just adds more fun to playing with their dolls!  Thanks Grandma!

Bath time Bubbles

You are never to old or young to blow bubbles in the bathtub or to put your head under water to see how long you can stay under!! Connor, while wearing his goggles,  and Tessa blowing bubbles while Karley pours water over their heads. Connor's other favorite thing to do is see how long he can stay under the water!

Grandpa Berning and Tessa

Tessa enjoying a book read to her by Grandpa B. while Grandma B. gives the kids piano lessons!
