Gator Rides through the fields

Here are a couple of short clips of some gator rides. The first one is of Connor and Carter, 2nd one Carter, Sam, Emma and Josie and last one Matt and Natalie. We had a couple of fall outs, lots of snow in the face at times and found a mouse a long the path! It was a great time had by all!

Snow ball fights, snow forts, sledding.....

The kids had a great time playing outside during the Berning Christmas! They were busy with everything from having snowball fights, building snow forts (Donny is an expert in this area), sledding ( Emma and Josie with their cousins Brielle, Elly and Dorothy), finding the biggest icicles (Connor is showing his off.), and the best hit was the gator rides with sleds being pulled behind through the fields. Terry and Tim got some great laughs while doing the driving and supervising. Those pictures and videos will be added on soon. Karley missed out on most of the outside fun since she was napping, but she does like to play out in the snow with her siblings at home.

Belken Girls Trio

The girls love to find BIG THICK books to walk around and pretend to read but mainly sing from. Karley has caught on real fast of what to do with the books. They say they are playing church so I guess them hearing their mom and aunt Becky sing in their choir group at church has really paid off. Josie refers to our priest at church as "God" so when they are playing at home she'll say "Emma, I'll be God and you be the singer."

Time to Brush our teeth.... and don't forget to flush!

Josie has done a great job of teaching Karley how to brush her teeth and to spit in the toliet! They figured the sink was being used by Connor and Emma so they found the next best place to spit!

If You Give A PIg a Pancake.. Chances are she'll get syrup all over her hair!

Karley loves wearing her new pig pajamas from her cousin Brielle and she also loves to eat pancakes! As she eats her pancakes she likes to run her hands through her hair! At night time when we are getting pajamas on she always says, "Pigs, Pigs." Emma got a pair of pig pajamas from St. Nick and Karley had to take a double take a couple of times.

Snow Day #1

The kids really enjoyed being off the last two days. The first day they were outside almost all day playing in the snow. By 8:30 a.m. they were ready to go sledding across the street at the neighbors backyard. They all went off with their sleds. As they were walking up the hill, Josie was having a little trouble in the deep snow so had to find another way to get her sled up the hill. I didn't have to worry about her getting dehydrated with all the snow she ate throughout the day! Emma then got the idea to collect big snow chunks and fill her sled up. Connor pretty much spent the whole time sledding and rolling down hills. Snow Day # 2 was spent more inside wrapping presents and playing! Hopefully back to school tomorrow!

O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree..

The Sunday after Thanksgiving, the whole Berning Family goes on a christmas tree hunt. The kids always have fun running around and playing hide-n-seek behind the trees. This year Josie paired up with Grandma B and Emma and Karley paired up with Grandpa B. Connor was the one who found our tree and off course he picks the one with the thickest trunk so we all took our turn chopping it down. When we got home the kids were very excited about decorating it. After I got the lights on they all went to work on the tree. After a little adjustment, the ornaments ended up around the tree instead of on one side! The kids love reading stories by the tree at night. In preparation for St. Nick's arrival on Dec. 6, Connor wrote him a couple of notes of what to leave for him and his sisters. He ended it by having St. Nick sign it as he had the pen ready for St. Nick to use. St. Nick was good to them and they look forward to Santa Claus visiting in a couple of weeks!!

Just a couple of pictures of Karley with Josie and Connor. It is fun to watch all of the older kids look out for Karley and interact with her!

These boots are made for walking...

The girls love playing dress up and especially with my shoes!! Before I know it all my shoes are out and separated into who's is who's, and has you see Karley follows along with her sisters.

Playing in the Rain, just playing in the rain...

Whenever it rains, the kids love to go outside and start shoveling the puddles of water from the side of the road on to the grass. Karley catches on really quick and literally sometimes jumps on in!

Three in the bed and the little one said... Roll over, Roll over

Karley has decided that she is ready to move in with her sisters. It has been a very easy transition. One night she hopped in bed with Josie and now says at night "Night, Night with Josie." The girls love it after they got use to her getting in their personal space has she would say their names over and over again. Emma decided to move down a level also when Karley is in there. In the morning Josie is always looking out for her little sister. Connor keeps asking who is going to sleep in his room now with him.

After supper at our house can always be filled with many exciting activities, one of the kids favorite things to do is playing Simon Sez with Terry. Terry, of course, keeps the game moving and tries to trick the kids. Honestly, they do a pretty good job of keeping up with him.
Josie loves reading stories to anyone, anywhere.
