Christmas Morning 2012

We had a great Christmas morning with the kids. Connor and Josie were the first to wake up. After checking the front room, they came to me and told me that Santa came!! This was about 7:30. After everyone was up around 8:00. It was time to open presents! But first Connor said, "We need to sing Happy Birthday to Jesus first." After the song, we started opening presents from youngest to oldest! Some of the highlights: girls bunk beds for their American Girl dolls, Connor nerf guns and extra darts to go along with them. (The girls also received smaller nerf guns to defend themselves.) The girls also received another American Girl doll and Connor an i- pod.

Note Emma wrote to Santa on Christmas Eve. 

A Visit from Mrs and Mr Santa Claus

After opening presents and singing songs, the kids were busy playing with their toys and then their was a tap at the window. We had two visitors: Mrs and Mr Claus. We were all surprised! Santa didn't just stop to say hello, but talked with each grandchild individually. (I am not sure Santa knew that their were 23 grandkids.) He had each one sit on his lap and talked to them for about 2-3 minutes. Then all the kids received some candy and a toy from Santa's bag. It was great to see excitement in all the kids eyes! It just added to the great day we had!
