Sitting UP

The kids were excited to see that Anna can sit up by herself now. Before she would do this on her own, Josie would count how many seconds she could sit up before she would fall over. Josie usually got to 3 or 4 seconds! Now she can do it for minutes!!

Cereal

Anna's first night of cereal was such a great night! It was so fun to see ALL FIVE of the kids to get soooo excited about her trying cereal for the first time! They all got a chance to feed her a spoonful or two. She did a great job with it and since has eaten lots of different kinds of food! I have made some homemade baby food, but she often likes to have little bits of what we are eating for dinner! She is getting the chewing motion down pretty well.

Bathtime

 Anna enjoys her bath and just soaking in the warm water. Tessa and Karley are always great helpers by washing her body and hair along with playing with her while they take a bath also!

Saint Nick

The kids got everyone's shoes out for St. Nick and they found them filled the next day with candy and gum. Anna got some diapers! This year Emma was asking only for Skittles!

Sleeping on the Floor

Tessa had about a week or two that she just wanted to sleep on the floor either in Connor's or the girl's room. I would say, "Tessa let's get ready for bed." She would reply, "I am not going to bed; I am sleeping on the floor." This night Tessa wanted to sleep on the floor in Connor's room under Anna's bed. She got it all set up and slept their all night!

Christmas Tree Hunt

The Sunday after Thanksgiving was a beautiful day to go hunting for a Christmas tree. The Berning clan headed to The Christmas Tree Farm in East Dubuque. Grandma and Grandpa Berning were out of town this year, but we surprised them by picking out a tree and putting the lights on for them. Below are some highlights from the afternoon. All the kids got a chance to help cut the tree down. Everyone's favorite part is the candy cane and hot chocolate afterwards!
